The 2019 Life Insurance and Market Research Association (LIMRA) Group and Worksite Conference, held Sept. 10 in Newport, RI, opened with a focus on others. Spearheaded by USAble Life’s Mike Moroney, senior director of sales enablement, the first order of business was assembling 1,000 care packages for families with premature or sick children staying in area neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). A joint effort of LIMRA and Project Sweet Peas, LIMRA member companies donated care package items, such as 700 toothbrushes provided by USAble Life. The care packages will benefit families in New England-area NICUs.
The mission of Project Sweet Peas is to empower and support families of premature or sick infants, and to inspire hope through remembrance for those affected by pregnancy and infant loss.
